To reach the correct diagnosis, various ancillary services are required. Many of those,
such as certain laboratory tests, are performed on our premises. On other occasions,
either patients, or their tests, have to be sent elsewhere. MRI has established a
network of high quality ancillary service providers who, when required, will give MRI
patients preference in appointments. While we, in principle, do not care where tests
are performed (as long as they are performed properly), we do have a certain
preference for the members of our ancillary network since they provide us with
consistency. And such consistency can become very important when patients have to
be followed over lengthy time periods.
It is important to note that MRI does not benefit financially from patient referrals
to any of these ancillary providers within our network.
